Billy. KC. (aka jay + silent bob), and myself. We got there about 2 hours too early. Which was fine cos about 20 minutes after our arrival i saw a woman about my height walking with a cup in one hand. a plaid scarf. capri dickies. and high top chucks. "AIMEE" i screamed. and she screamed "NATALIE!!!" woo hoo! Billy and I walked over to the van with her, to see Eno. and talk about random things. We were there for about a half an hour when she had to go in for soundcheck. So the three of us got on the line which was already forming. I met stefanie and mia. they're so adorable! So we got in. They went on maybe 8:15 or so. Opening with Death Via Satellite. i dont remember the track listing, but it was something like dvs, nemesis, gorgeous, the 1234, los angelos and shakedown. i might be forgetting something. As soon as their set was over, i pushed my way through the lil emo.hardcore boy crowd and down the stairs to the merch booth to meet up with aimee again. spent all my money :o) (ONLY ON YOU GUYS!). I gave her the poem i wrote last year. Cos i forget everyother time i see them. She read it. her reaction was "ohhhh my God, this is soooo sad". She asked to keep it. Her wish, my command. So we were talking about Trip (through the whole story, her mouth was open as she shook her head. shes worried about me..aww) and her mom. and touring (they're gonna tour like 10 months next year. i think she said definatly with Alkaline Trio, and like a 90% chance of touring with AFI.) She explained the whole story why Scott (ellis) left. his lil texas love story. aww i hope everything works out. So i was talking to Mia about the tribute cd. gave her $10 and she told me to write my name and address down for her. and Aimee goes "no wait." and she told mia my first + LAST name. I looked at her with my jaw to the floor "aimee, how do you know that" to which she replied "because i love you" awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!! hehe i love you too, Aimee! hehe shes my homegirl. So after a while aimee went to get food and Jamie took over the merch booth. after about 20-30min she came back with her cellphone at hand and gave me the phone. it was Dan!! aww i miss my dan-bugg. and how we used to flash eachother. le sigh. they couldn't take him on the tour cos it would have been too expensive. too bad. then stef, mia , aimee and i were talking about movies and other random bullshit. I am supposed to deliver a msg to JONAH (!!!) from her, saying "hi". and then we talked about jonah and far and new end original and onelinedrawing. and the international noise conspiracy and le tigre. i promised her that when they come back from europe i'm gonna fly out there to see a home show at the whisky or the troubador or someplace. yeeeeeeeeeeeah boyyyyyyyyyyy. i'm too tired to type anymore right now about it. but nothing too exciting happened after that. I think Trinity is my new all time favorite song. maybe, just maybe. Aimee. My HERO. my friend. the bestist chickie in the world.
i should mention, the very first thing that happened when we got there:
billy + I went over to a red van which he thought was theSTARTs, i knocked on the door to see the dude from thrice just about to smoke up (hehe). I didn't know who he was so when i knocked i asked if aimee was around. i didn't know who they were until aimee introduced us to them. hhaha.
